Working Together

Over the years, I’ve found that meaningful shifts often happen in quiet conversations.

Where there is time.
Where nothing is rushed.
Where sensitivity isn’t something to manage, but something to understand.

When that kind of space is present, something deeper can unfold.

This is not about fixing or pushing.
It is simply the process of bringing awareness.

This is what one-to-one work makes possible.

In our sessions, we move at a gentle pace. We question stressful thoughts, explore patterns that repeat, and bring clarity to what feels tangled or heavy. At times, we focus on inner inquiry. At other times, we look at practical changes that support balance in your outer life.

The work is simple, but not superficial.
It unfolds over time.

There is no pressure toward intensity.
Depth grows naturally when there is safety.

How We Might Work Together

There is no fixed formula for this work.

Highly sensitive people are different from one another, and stress can build for very different reasons.

Some people feel emotionally overwhelmed.
Some feel exhausted by the pace of life.
Some feel stuck in painful relationship patterns.
Some feel disconnected from themselves.
Some are functioning well on the outside, but internally feel stretched, pressured, or unable to rest.

So rather than forcing everything into one approach, we explore what would genuinely support you.

Sometimes that means helping your nervous system settle first.

Sometimes it means looking at your daily life and how much space you actually have to recover.

Sometimes it means learning new ways of relating to boundaries, relationships, work, or self-pressure.

Sometimes it means exploring deeper emotional patterns or stressful ways of seeing yourself, other people, or life.

We move gradually, one layer at a time, depending on the need.

The Five Layers of Stress Management

I often think of stress management in layers.

These layers are not steps you have to complete in order. They are simply different places we may bring attention, depending on what is most needed.

Layer 1: Helping Your System Settle

Sometimes the first need is not a deep insight.

Sometimes your system is simply activated, overstimulated, or exhausted, and it needs help coming back down.

In this layer, we may look at what helps you settle in the moment, such as rest, quiet, movement, sensory reduction, emotional support, grounding practices, or simple recovery routines.

These tools are not superficial. They help create enough stability, clarity, and capacity for deeper work to become possible.

Layer 2: Looking at the Structure of Your Life

Sometimes stress continues because life itself has become too crowded, overstimulating, emotionally demanding, or unsustainable.

In this layer, we may explore your schedule, work, relationships, environment, recovery time, food, sleep, exercise, finances, or the overall pace of your life.

Highly Sensitive People do not need to become harder on themselves.

They need lives that support sensitivity more intelligently.

Layer 3: Learning New Ways of Relating

Some stress patterns soften when new skills develop over time.

This may include boundaries, communication, decision-making, emotional awareness, self-compassion, reducing people-pleasing, asking for what you want, saying no, or learning to stay more grounded when stress is active.

Often the external situation has not completely changed.

But your way of relating to it begins to change.

Layer 4: Deeper Emotional Healing

Some stress patterns repeat because they are connected to older emotional learning.

This may include fear of disappointing others, perfectionism, guilt, emotional caretaking, self-suppression, fear of conflict, fear of rejection, or the feeling that your needs create problems.

This is not about fixing yourself.

Often, it is about reconnecting with parts of yourself that became buried beneath stress, adaptation, and trying to be okay for everyone else.

Layer 5: Inner Freedom

At the deepest level, stress is sometimes sustained not only by circumstances but by identification with stressful thinking itself.

This is where we may question painful thoughts, explore the stories the mind is believing, practice presence, loosen the need for control, or look at where the mind is arguing with reality.

This work is not about bypassing emotions or avoiding practical action.

It is about discovering another layer of freedom beneath the patterns that have felt so compelling.

What Sessions Can Look Like

Each session is different.

Sometimes we begin with something happening right now.
Sometimes we step back and look at a larger pattern.
Sometimes we focus very practically on your daily life.
Sometimes we slow down and question one stressful thought.

For example, in one session we might look at what overwhelms your nervous system most quickly.

In another, we might explore your daily routine and whether there is enough space for recovery.

In another, we might look at your social life, your work, your relationship, your food, your exercise, your sleep, or how often you are saying yes when your system is asking for no.

We might build an emergency kit for moments when you feel overwhelmed.

We might explore why setting a boundary feels so hard.

We might look at purpose, meaning, or the deeper feeling that your life is not quite aligned.

Or we might simply slow down with one painful situation and question the stressful thoughts around it.

There is no pressure to move faster than feels supportive.

Highly sensitive people often process deeply and gradually. That is respected here.

How Sessions Work

Sessions are one hour and held on Zoom.

We begin with whatever feels most alive for you that day.

Sometimes it is a specific situation.
Sometimes it is a repeating pattern.
Sometimes it is simply a feeling you cannot quite name.

From there, we slow down.

We give space for what feels stuck to soften.
We untangle what feels heavy or confusing.
We gently question how the mind has been seeing things.

There is no expectation.
No performance.
No forced breakthrough.

Just attention.

Who This Work Is For

I work exclusively with Highly Sensitive People, or HSPs.

This is the nervous system I know best, and the one my work is designed for.

To keep things clear and grounded for both of us, I ask new clients to take the HSP Stress Test before we begin.

It is not a diagnosis. It is simply a way to make sure this work is a good fit, without either of us having to guess.

Practical Details

Sessions are $225 USD (plus tax if you live in Canada).

Some people assume one-to-one support requires weekly sessions. In reality, many people work at a slower pace.

Some clients choose to meet weekly, especially during periods of significant stress or transition. Others meet biweekly, monthly, every two months, or simply schedule sessions as needed.

In my experience, more frequent sessions are not always better. For many Highly Sensitive People, having space between sessions allows the work to settle and unfold more naturally.

We can find a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable for you, rather than forcing a pace that creates pressure.

Sessions are private and confidential.

If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. This is a dedicated one-to-one time reserved for you, and sessions canceled within 24 hours are charged in full.

When you schedule online, available times will automatically appear in your local time zone.

If you’d prefer to meet regularly, we can reserve a recurring weekly, biweekly, or monthly time in my calendar so it is held just for you. You can also skip recurring sessions at any time, as long as you let me know in advance.

Begin Here

If this feels like the kind of space you’ve been looking for, here’s how to begin.

New Clients

New clients begin by taking the HSP Stress Test.

This helps us make sure the work is aligned before we schedule time together.

If you’ve already taken it recently, there’s no need to repeat it.

If you have already taken the test and would like to explore working together, you are welcome to schedule an Introductory Conversation.

This is simply a space for us to meet and talk about what has been happening for you.

We can explore the kinds of stress patterns you have been experiencing, what support might look like, and whether this feels like a good fit for where you are right now.

There is no pressure to continue afterward.

I’ve found that sometimes even a short conversation can help people feel a little less alone with what they’ve been carrying, whether or not they are in a position to continue beyond that.

One-Hour Sessions

If we’ve met and agreed to work together, you can schedule your 1-Hour Sessions below.
