[00:00:00] Thank you for joining me on this special transition episode. You can say this is really more of an announcement kind of episode. But the reason I’m doing this is because I am planning to change the name of this podcast. So far for all of these episodes, it has been called Wiggle Room which is all about finding that little bit of space inside of us that’s always there that you can always access.
And the process for finding that of course is the work of Byron Katie. I’m going to be changing that name to the new name is going to be Stress Management for Highly Sensitive People. And the reason I’m changing it is that I want to make this podcast accessible, understandable for anyone, [00:01:00] even if they’ve never heard of the work and especially for highly sensitive people.
I’ve found as I’ve been looking at my clients and participants. And also myself, that the common theme throughout all of my participants and all of my clients, or almost all, is this trait of being a highly sensitive person. This doesn’t mean that you know, highly sensitive people is something that’s been studied.
It’s a personality trait. It’s nothing wrong. About 20 percent of the world’s population. Is a highly sensitive person and the reason I’m focusing in on that is because it is something that resonates to me. Something that’s dear to my heart and something that I’m especially attuned to being able to support.
Find that when I work with highly sensitive people, they tend to be drawn to me in the first place. But when I work with them, There’s a natural resonance and there’s a, an understanding and the [00:02:00] issues that highly sensitive people tend to bring up are the ones that I also either have worked through or are in the process of working through.
And also the name stress management is of course a bigger term that’s used in many different ways. I’ll be using it in especially with regards to the work of Byron Katie as a powerful tool for reducing stress. But I’ll also be open to discussing other aspects of stress management, other ways of finding balance in life, especially for people who are highly sensitive by nature.
And there’s some special types of stresses. That we HSPs deal with, and I’ll be addressing those and even providing some tips and strategies as we go along. But the main focus will continue to be the work of Byron Katie. That’s what I’m trained in, that’s my expertise, and that’s what I love. The content will be very similar.[00:03:00]
We’ll have open session recordings, just like you’ve been hearing. I will also be adding two additional episodes each week. So we’re going to go from instead of one episode per week, we’re going to go to three episodes a week. The main episode will be the open session recordings, just like we’ve been having all along.
And the other two will be, there’ll be a guided meditation. episode where I will be facilitating you or anyone who’s listening in doing the work on a particular topic and I’ll be asking you directly the questions. Now I’m giving, I’ll be giving you space to find your answers, and I’ll be supporting you as we go through questioning a particular stressful thought.
And so that will be on Mondays, and then Wednesdays will be the open session recordings, and then Fridays. We’ll be more of a strategy or tips kind of episode where I will be [00:04:00] simply sharing some experience or giving some resource that may be supportive if you’re a highly sensitive person dealing with certain kinds of stresses that may be supportive as you as you go through your life.
Can you listen if you’re not an HSP, not a highly sensitive person? Of course you can. This podcast is open to anyone and many of the same issues that people who are highly sensitive face are the same ones that everybody faces. And so you may learn tons just from listening and you’re not precluded from being a part of this.
It just means that I will be focused especially on this type of person. And that will be who I will be speaking to throughout the episodes. And then finally, the work is always the same. The work is four questions and turnarounds. I’m still just as passionate about the work as I’ve always been. And you will experience tons of that as we go through [00:05:00] the the upcoming episodes.
And of course, you can still join in open sessions. You can bring your questions about the work. You can also do the work with me. and this will stay the same. The only addition is I’m now focusing more specifically on highly sensitive people. Ironically, that is, it seems to be the audience that has kind of been listening all along, primarily.
And so I’m just calling that and naming that and We’ll be focusing more specifically on HSPs. And then the other, of course, will be just focusing on the idea of stress management as something that is understandable to people in general, even if they’ve never heard the word. So that’s what you’ll see next week.
We’ll start with with one episode where it will be an open session episode. And it’ll be quite similar, but we’ll start with the new name and it’ll be a slightly different introduction and [00:06:00] intro and outro. But look for some changes coming in. There’ll be some new cover art coming as well, and there will be lots of new content.
So if we’re working three times a week, you can expect to hear lots of cool, interesting episodes. coming down the pipeline, and I’m really looking forward to that. So stay tuned. Thank you for listening. And if you have any questions, feel free to contact me, and I’ll be happy to speak to you about that or email you about.
Once again, thanks for being a part of my journey, and I look forward to continuing together with you.
